FitEn3rgy AI features
5 minute read · Pro plan
FitEn3rgy uses OpenAI to power five distinct AI features. Each is designed to save you setup time, not replace your judgement. The output is informational — see the disclaimer below.
Not medical advice. AI-generated meal plans, training routines, weekly summaries, and coach replies are informational only. Always consult a qualified physician, dietitian, or trainer before starting a new diet or workout — particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, under 18, have an injury, or have any pre-existing medical condition.
1. AI meal plans
Generate a 1, 3, 5, or 7-day meal plan matched to your macro goals. The AI:
- Reads your daily calorie + protein + carbs + fat targets (set in Nutrition → Goals).
- Asks for your dietary preferences (omnivore, vegetarian, vegan, etc.) and dislikes.
- Picks 3 meals + 1 snack per day with portion sizes that sum to your targets ±10%.
- Returns each meal as a list of foods you can tick off as you eat them, so logging is automatic.
Tip: the AI takes 30–60 seconds for longer plans. You can leave the screen and come back.
2. AI training routine generator
Tap Training → AI routine wizard. You provide:
- Primary goal — strength, hypertrophy, fat loss, general fitness.
- Days per week — 2 to 6.
- Equipment — bodyweight, dumbbells, barbell, gym.
- Fitness level — auto-filled from your profile, override if needed.
- Injuries — list any joints/muscles to avoid; the AI excludes contraindicated exercises.
You get a multi-day split with specific exercises (drawn from FitEn3rgy's vetted catalog), sets, reps, and rest periods. Save the routine and run it from the Training tab.
3. Meal photo scanning
Tap the camera icon in Nutrition and snap a photo of your plate. The AI:
- Identifies what is on the plate (chicken, rice, salad — and any sauces).
- Estimates the visible portion weight in grams.
- Returns total calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber for that portion.
- Provides per-item breakdowns when multiple foods are present.
Confidence rating (high / medium / low) tells you how sure the model is. If confidence is low, the AI explains why in the note.
Privacy: meal-scan photos are sent to OpenAI for inference and to Sightengine for safety moderation. They are not retained by FitEn3rgy after the scan completes.
4. Weekly training summary
Every Monday, FitEn3rgy generates a one-page summary of your last 7 days of training:
- Total volume by muscle group, vs. last week.
- Personal-record beats this week.
- Muscles you under-trained (compared to your split).
- Recovery notes — which muscles got <48 hours rest between sessions.
- A short coach-style summary in your selected language.
Available under Dashboard → Weekly summary.
5. AI fitness coach
The Coach tab is a chat interface where you can ask anything fitness-related — workouts, nutrition, recovery, motivation. The AI knows your profile (fitness level, goals, recent activity) so answers stay relevant. It refuses to give medical diagnoses and points you to a professional for anything clinical.
Daily limits
To keep AI features free for everyone:
- Meal plans — generation count per day depends on your plan (Pro has a higher cap).
- Photo scans — separate daily cap, also higher on Pro.
- Coach — open-ended messaging, with backoff if you exceed reasonable use.
